Acceptable Use Policy

Platform rules and user guidelines for maintaining a safe digital service environment.

1. Overview

Payoup is a technology platform (SaaS) that acts as the principal seller (Merchant of Record) on all transactions, providing service providers with the commercial, technical, and payment infrastructure to sell globally. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines rules and guidelines for using our platform. By using Payoup, you agree to comply with this policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

Payoup is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy platform for legitimate transactions. We actively monitor for and prevent misuse of our services.

2. Permitted Services and Transactions

Payoup may be used for the following types of services and transactions:

Software Development Web development, mobile apps, software engineering, and programming services.
Creative Services Graphic design, illustration, video editing, photography, and content creation.
Writing & Translation Content writing, copywriting, technical writing, editing, and translation services.
Marketing & Consulting Digital marketing, SEO, business consulting, and strategic planning services.
Education & Training Online tutoring, course creation, coaching, and educational content development.
Technical Support IT support, system administration, technical troubleshooting, and maintenance services.
Digital Products Software licenses, templates, themes, plugins, scripts, digital art, e-books, music, game assets, in-game items, and other downloadable digital goods.
E-Commerce & Physical Goods Retail products, handmade items, merchandise, print-on-demand, and physical goods sold through our store or payment links.
Subscriptions & Memberships Recurring billing for SaaS products, membership sites, premium content access, and subscription-based services.

3. Prohibited Services and Activities

The following services and activities are strictly prohibited on the Payoup platform:

Illegal Activities Any services that violate local, national, or international laws, including fraud, money laundering, or terrorist financing.
Adult Content Adult entertainment, escort services, or any sexually explicit content or services.
Controlled Substances Sale or distribution of illegal drugs, prescription medications without proper licensing, or drug paraphernalia.
Legal Services Legal advice, representation, or services requiring a law license unless properly verified and authorized.
Medical Services Medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or services requiring medical licensing and proper verification.
Gambling Online gambling, betting services, lottery tickets, casino games, or any form of wagering.
Weapons & Explosives Sale of weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories and components.
Counterfeit & Fraudulent Documents Fake diplomas, certificates, identity documents, counterfeit goods, or brand imitation products.
Unregulated Cryptocurrency Services Unlicensed cryptocurrency exchange, ICOs, token sales, crypto mining services, staking platforms, and secondary market NFT sales.
Tobacco & Nicotine Products Tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping products, and related accessories.
Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, MLM recruitment, commission-based referral networks, and get-rich-quick schemes.
Human Trafficking & Exploitation Human trafficking, forced labor, organ trade, or any form of exploitation.
Terrorism & Extremism Terrorist financing, extremist propaganda, radicalisation material, or support for sanctioned entities.

4. Specific Prohibited Activities

In addition to prohibited services, the following activities are not allowed on Payoup:

4.1 Fraud and Deception Misrepresenting services or qualifications
4.2 Intellectual Property Violations Services that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or patents
4.3 Privacy and Data Violations Services involving the sale or trade of personal data
4.4 Harmful Content Hacking, phishing, or social engineering services
Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment services

5. Transaction Limits and Requirements

To maintain platform security and compliance, Payoup enforces the following transaction requirements:

Minimum Transaction Amount €5 (or equivalent in other currencies)
Maximum Single Transaction €5,000 (or equivalent in other currencies)
Monthly Transaction Limits Based on verification level and account type
Geographic Restrictions Some transactions may be restricted based on location
Currency Requirements Transactions must be in supported currencies

Note: Higher transaction limits are available for verified users with enhanced verification levels.

6. Account Responsibilities

As a Payoup user, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • Monitoring your account for unauthorized activity
  • Providing accurate and truthful information
  • Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Responding promptly to Payoup's requests for information
  • Not sharing your account with others
  • Reporting suspicious activity to Payoup immediately
  • Using Payoup only for legitimate, legal transactions

7. Content and Communication Standards

All content and communications through Payoup must adhere to these standards:

Professional Language Use appropriate, professional language in all communications
No Spam Do not send unsolicited messages or marketing content
Truthful Representation Accurately describe your services and qualifications
Respectful Interaction Treat other users with respect and professionalism
No Harassment Do not engage in harassment, threats, or abusive behavior

8. Compliance and Monitoring

Payoup actively monitors platform activity to ensure compliance:

Automated Monitoring AI-powered systems (including OpenAI as a third-party AI provider) detect suspicious patterns, prohibited content, and policy violations in real-time
Manual Review Human review teams investigate flagged transactions and accounts
Regulatory Compliance We comply with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and applicable data protection regulations. Payment processing is carried out by licensed third-party payment processors; Payoup does not process payments itself.
Law Enforcement Cooperation We cooperate with legitimate law enforcement requests
Third-Party Screening Accounts are screened against sanctions and watchlists. OpenAI is utilised as a third-party AI provider for content classification. Didit is used for KYC/identity verification.

9. Violation Consequences

Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in:

Warning Initial violations may receive a warning and education
Transaction Holds Suspicious transactions may be held pending review
Account Suspension Temporary suspension while violations are investigated
Account Termination Permanent account closure for serious or repeated violations
Legal Action Referral to law enforcement for illegal activities
Financial Penalties Fees, chargebacks, or direct recovery may apply for violation-related costs. Payoup may offset such amounts against amounts otherwise payable by Payoup to the Service Provider under the applicable commercial relationship, in accordance with the Platform Services Agreement.
